Health Update

CT Scan Results

The primary left‑lung mass is essentially unchanged, and the left-sided pleural effusion remains stable. The liver metastases that were previously seen are no longer visible, and no new metastases were detected anywhere. The bone metastases are still present but show no progression. The only area that changed was an increase in groundglass opacities in both lungs, which the radiologist suggests could be related to treatment effects, fluid, or a less likely infection. Overall, the scan shows a mix of stability, improvement, and one uncertain change that needs clinical correlation.

After the CT scan results were provided, it turned out I had pneumonia, which may explain the ground-glass opacities listed in the CT scan report. I was released from the hospital on Sunday, 12/28, and am feeling much better. My oncologist postponed my next Chemo to 1/9/2026 to give my body time to rest and heal.

Due to multiple(3) thoracocentesis done, I will have a PleurX catheter surgically implanted so the fluid can be drained by my wife or me.  It is a small, flexible tube that’s placed through the chest wall to help drain fluid from around the lung regularly.
